The district with the highest population density is Muratpaşa with 5067 people per km2. There are 19 districts and municipalities, a total of 910 neighborhoods in these municipalities.
It is entirely located in the west of the Mediterranean Region and was established between the Gulf of Antalya and the Western Taurus Mountains. It is the fifth largest province of Turkey in terms of surface area.
